About Me
Hi, my name is Ashley and I'm a Nigerian food lover with a curious palate and a habit of asking, “What if I tried this?”
Plated Memories is my little corner of the internet where food, culture, travel, and creativity come together. It started with a love for the foods and memories I grew up with, but somewhere along the way, it became a journey through flavors from around Nigeria and around the world.
Here, you’ll find Afro-fusion creations, nostalgic recipes, traditional Nigerian dishes, cultural food discoveries, travel-inspired bites, and the occasional completely random idea that I just had to try.
Some recipes take me back to childhood. Some remind me of places I’ve lived or traveled to. Others are inspired by something I saw, tasted, or simply wondered about. And sometimes, I’m just curious to see what happens when two completely unexpected things meet on a plate.
Because to me, food has never been just food. It carries stories. It connects us to home. It introduces us to new cultures. It brings people together. And sometimes, it gives us a memory we didn't even know we were making.
So whether you're here looking for a recipe, discovering a Nigerian dish for the first time, or just wondering what I’m going to cook up next, welcome.
Come hungry. Stay curious. Let’s make some memories.

Culinary Highlights

Nigerian Roots
Celebrating the bold flavors, beloved ingredients, and food traditions that make Nigerian cuisine so special.

Afro-Fusion Creations
Where Nigerian flavors meet global inspiration. Expect unexpected combinations, creative twists, and plenty of “wait, that actually works!” moments.

Kitchen Experiments
This is where curiosity takes over. We play with ingredients, reinvent classics, and occasionally make something completely unhinged, but hopefully delicious.

Food Stories
Because food is more than a recipe. It carries memories, traditions, people, places, and little pieces of home.
